The top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit are seeded for all major tournaments. These players have the highest prize money earnings over the rolling two-year period and represent the elite of professional darts.
Players ranked 17–32 are the challengers. They compete in all ranking events and often provide the biggest upsets in major tournaments. Many are former top-16 players or rising stars on the verge of breaking through.
Tour regulars (ranked 33–64) play a full schedule of PDC events. They are professional players who earn their living from darts and regularly compete on the European Tour and Players Championship circuit.
Qualifiers (65–128) must earn their places in major tournaments through qualifying events. This group includes emerging talent, Challenge Tour graduates, and international qualifiers.
